Dear Blanche K. Bruce Families and Students,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!
It is with great excitement and heartfelt joy that I welcome all of our returning Bruce families and extend a special welcome to the students, families, and staff of Nat Q. Henderson Elementary School. This year marks the beginning of an extraordinary new chapter as our two proud school communities come together as One Bruce.
As your principal, I am truly honored to lead our school during this historic moment. While we each bring unique traditions, experiences, and memories, we now share one future and one commitment—to provide every child with an exceptional educational experience where they are challenged, supported, and inspired to succeed.
Our theme for the 2026–2027 school year is: One Bruce. One Vision. Excellence in Action. This theme reflects who we are and who we are becoming. One Bruce reminds us that we are stronger together as one united school community. One Vision reflects our shared commitment to ensuring every student receives high-quality instruction, meaningful learning experiences, and the support they need to reach their fullest potential. Excellence in Action means that excellence is not simply a goal—it is demonstrated every day through our teaching, learning, leadership, service, and relationships.
At B.K. Bruce Fine Arts Elementary, we believe every child deserves to learn in a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where they are encouraged to dream big, think critically, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to creating engaging classrooms that foster academic excellence, creativity, collaboration, and character.
As we begin this exciting journey together, I invite each family to be an active partner in your child's education. Your encouragement, involvement, and support are essential to our success.
